Currently serves as the Missions Director of the Hmong District and his mobilization team focuses on training local churches to develop a culture of Missions Mobilization. 

Local Pastors and leaders are encouraged to empower mission mobilizers in their local churches to cultivate missional engagements with local and international partners developing missional leaders and making Kingdom impact.

Leading Pastor at Grace Mobile Church of the C&MA in Fresno, California.  I am most passionate about bringing the lost to Christ, teaching the believers to build their

relationship with Christ, and magnifying Christ by living out the Word.  My goal is to mobilize God’s grace within the church to the community and to the world.

Kao Lee Yang

As a first generation convert from shamanism to a follower of Jesus, Kao Lee is passionate about helping people understand the Gospel and grow in Biblical literacy. While living in both South Korea and Spain for 6 years as a teacher, she partnered with local churches to reach internationals. Her favorite part of ministry is seeing people discover Jesus through reading the Bible for themselves! Kao Lee has a background in Counseling Psychology and Missions from Toccoa Falls College. In her free time, she enjoys biking, writing children's books, and creating Christian content on YouTube. Having

served people on 3 different continents, the life lesson she most wants to

share is: "You'll never regret following Jesus".

Reaching the Next-Gen for Christ

Pastor Zzongsiah (Happy) Mua

He serves as the Next Gen Pastor at Portland Hmong Alliance Church in Portland, Oregon. He also served as Associate Pastor for Kingston Alliance Church in NY for four years before moving to Portland. Finished an internship in Gabon (Africa) & missions trips to Mongolia & Peru. Graduating from Simpson University with a BS in Cross-Cultural Studies. Zzongsiah was born and raised in Chico, CA. Enjoys football, listening to

music, and spending time with his church community, daughter Naomi, & his wife

Rev. Nou Yang

I married to my beautiful and supportive wife, Edna.We have two kids, Amelia (7)

and Caleb (5). We also have my mother-in-law, Chong, who lives with us. I was born in Laos and raised in Milwaukee, WI.  I grew up attending Grace Hmong Alliance Church under Rev. Yong Xeng Yang. After two years of undergrad, I sensed God’s calling into ministry and transferred to Toccoa Falls College in 2007. I graduated from Toccoa Falls

College in 2010. Upon graduation, I returned home to Milwaukee, WI, and started

attending and helping New Life Hmong Alliance Church in children’s and youth ministries. I served as the Youth Pastor and then Assistant Pastor for New Life Hmong Alliance from February 2012 to July 2021. In the fall of 2021, my family and I moved to Appleton, WI. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Divinity from Crown College and serving as the Associate Pastor of Living Stone Alliance Church.

Pastor Bruce Yang is the pastor at Gospel City Church in Sacramento, CA.  He graduated with a degree in Pastoral Ministry from Toccoa Falls College and a Masters in

Theological Studies from Tyndale.  He has been married 19 years to Douachi and has a wonderful daughter, Evangeleen.

Rev. Chue Hue Her

Rev. Chue Hue is currently serving as an International Worker for the Christian and Missionary Alliance in the Asia Pacific Region. He been serving since 2017. His ministry is in training leaders by using the Theological Education by Extension (T.E.E.) Program. Prior to becoming an International Worker, he served as an Assistant Pastor at the Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church in Sacramento, CA, for two years (2011-2012), and then as Senior Pastor for five years (2013-2017).  He has been married to his wife for forty years and they have nine adult children and two grandchildren.

How Hmong People Historically Came to Christ

Rev. Wang Chao Lee

Rev. Wang Chao Lee currently serves as the Hmong Christian Institute Director at the Hmong District.  He has a Bachelors in Pastoral Studies and Masters in Church Leadership from Crown College.  He had previously served as the Senior Pastor of Grace Hmong Alliance Church, Calvary Alliance Church, First Hmong Missionary Alliance Church, and the Hmong Alliance Church in Dixon.  He is married to Phua Yang and they have five

children together.  They both served was an International Worker to French Guiana for five years.  Rev. Wang Chao is passionate about leadership development and the Hmong historical Church movement.

Becoming a Multiplying Church

Rev. Paul Yang

Rev. Chonfong (Txoos Foom) Paul Yang's journey is a

testament to the transformative power of God's grace. Born into animism and

raised as an atheist, Rev. Chonfong (Txoos Foom) Paul Yang encountered the

life-transforming power of the Gospel and was redeemed through faith in Jesus

Christ. Filled with the Holy Spirit, he now lives to proclaim the Good News,

sharing the hope and joy found in Christ with boldness and purpose. His mission

is to lead others to salvation, equipping and inspiring believers to shine the

light of Jesus in a lost and broken world.

He currently serves as the Lead Pastor at Compassion Chapel

in Maplewood, MN, and as the Area Director for the Hmong District's Area 4 of

Ministry, where he provides leadership to 14 churches across Minnesota.

Additionally, Rev. Yang plays a vital role on the Hmong District's Church

Ministry leadership team, offering coaching, mentorship, and guidance to

strengthen churches and ministry leaders.

With a deep passion for equipping the next generation to

stand boldly on God's Word and reach the lost, Rev. Yang is committed to

building a legacy of faith. He and his wife, Ly, have been blessed with 34

years of marriage. Together, they have five wonderful children (four daughters

and one son) and four grandchildren who love and follow Jesus, a source of joy

and inspiration in their lives.

Rev. Daniel Yang

Rev. Daniel Yang serves as the National Director of Churches of Welcome for World Relief. Prior to that he was the director of the Church Multiplication Institute at the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center. Daniel has been a pastor, church planter, engineer and technology consultant. He has planted churches in Detroit, Dallas, Toronto, and Chicago, either as the lead planter or through recruiting, training, assessing, and mentoring church

planters. Daniel is a sought-after conference speaker, missional strategist, consultant, and co-author of Inalienable: How Marginalized Kingdom Voices Can Help Save the American Church (InterVarsity, May 2022) and Becoming a Future-Ready Church: 8 Shifts to Encourage and Empower the Next Generation of Leaders (Zondervan, October 2024).

Charles Chapman

Charles Chapman serves as the Candidate Development Specialist for Alliance Missions within the Christian and Missionary Alliance and the African-American Leadership Developer for the Ohio Valley District. Originally from Baltimore, MD, Charles felt a call to serve as a missionary when he was in high school which led him to move to Pittsburgh, PA in 2002 and start a Christian non-profit organization that served the homeless. In 2022, Charles and his family followed God's call to Columbus, OH to serve at the national headquarters of the C&MA in missions mobilization where he engages about 175 mission candidates each year from around the country. Charles, his wife Liz, and their two kids, Julia and Marcus live on the Westside of Columbus.

Marketplace ministries is an association of C&MA professionals employed internationally

in secular cross-cultural situations.  The primary motivation and ministry is to make disciples and establish them in the local church where permissible, with emphasis on restricted or potentially restricted access.

Retiring Well

Rev. Yong Xeng Yang

Rev. Swm Xeng Yang currently serves as the Mission Director of the Hmong District.  He has been married to his wife, Dayouna for 21 years. They have four children: Faith,

Caleb, Christian, and Evangeline. 

His favorite bible passages are Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." And 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “My grace is

sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.  Soli deo Gloria.   

Pastoral Ministry in the Hmong Context

Dr. Thai Vang

Reverend Ntsum Thai Vang has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Regis University, a Master of Divinity in Leadership from Denver Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Bethel Seminary. He served as the lay pastor of the First United Hmong Alliance Church from 2013 to 2014.  In 2014, he answered God’s calling to serve as the Senior Pastor for the Alliance Church of Merced (ACOM).  He has been serving as the Senior Pastor of the Hmong American Alliance Church (HAAC) since the end of 2022.  Reverend Vang has been actively involved in leadership roles within the Hmong District (HD) of the C&MA. He served as a DEXCOM pastor member from 2018 to 2021, is currently a committee member on the Mission Mobilizations Team (HD Mission Ministry), and the chairman of the Credentialing Council (CC) of the HD.  He is married to Pang, and together they have four children: Angel, Austin, Isabella, and Isaac. They are also proud grandparents of five grandchildren. Reverend Vang firmly believes that the love of Christ is best demonstrated through the actions of local churches actively engaging with their communities. He is passionate about uniting and encouraging HD pastors to support one

another as brothers in Christ.
