Rev. Yong Xeng Yang

Rev. Yong Xeng Yang was married to Bla Her in the early 1960’s. They have 7 children, 5 girls and 2 boys.Since his graduation from the Bible Institute in Laos in 1968, he actively served until his retirement in 2006. His long list of impactful services include pastoringseveral Churches and serving in various leadership positions. He was a member of the National Executive Board of the Lao Evangelical Church of Laos (early 1970’s), the chairman of the Board of the transitional Christian Church in Ban Vinai Refugee Camp, and the District Superintendent of the Hmong District (1981-1990).

Rev. Yang also had a significant role in the Hmong Bible translation project in Laos (1970’s) and was an advisor for the Hmong Bible translation (2000 edition). After his retirement, he continued to serve as a consultant and proof-reader for the Hmong Bible revision (2020 edition). He continues to travel widely for preaching and training engagements. Rev. Yang is one of the life changing impactful speakers of the pass decades. He has a passion to develop emerging leaders. He sacrificially invests with financial support and coaching others. His circle of influence is not limited to the Hmong Christians but also impacting the general public. He is a “Barnabas” of the modern age.

Rev. Paul Yang

Rev. Chonfong (Txoos Foom) Paul Yang's journey is a testament to the transformative power of God's grace. Born into animism and raised as an atheist, Rev. Chonfong (Txoos Foom) Paul Yang encountered the life-transforming power of the Gospel and was redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ. Filled with the Holy Spirit, he now lives to proclaim the Good News,sharing the hope and joy found in Christ with boldness and purpose. His mission is to lead others to salvation, equipping and inspiring believers to shine the light of Jesus in a lost and broken world.

He currently serves as the Lead Pastor at Compassion Chapel in Maplewood, MN, and as the Area Director for the Hmong District's Area 4 of Ministry, where he provides leadership to 14 churches across Minnesota. Additionally, Rev. Yang plays a vital role on the Hmong District's Church Ministry leadership team, offering coaching, mentorship, and guidance to strengthen churches and ministry leaders.

With a deep passion for equipping the next generation to stand boldly on God's Word and reach the lost, Rev. Yang is committed to building a legacy of faith. He and his wife, Ly, have been blessed with 34 years of marriage. Together, they have five wonderful children (four daughters and one son) and four grandchildren who love and follow Jesus, a source of joy and inspiration in their lives.

Dr. Timothy Vang

Dr. Vang married Joua (Lydia) Xiong and together they’ve six grown-up children, three boys and three girls. He is gifted in preaching, teaching, and church leadership. He has planted churches in Eau Claire and La Crosse, WI and pastored three churches which includes Boulder Hmong Alliance Church, Sacramento Hmong Alliance Church, and Hmong American Alliance Church.

Besides that, he also served as the Hmong District Superintendent for 3 terms for a total of 9 years.  Dr. Vang earned his bachelor’s degree from Cincinnati, Bible College, his Master of Divinity from Canadian Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Rev. Olivier Lo

Rev. Olivier Lo was born in France into a nonbelieving family. His family came to Christ when he was 10 years old and got baptized when he was 26. For his civilian career, he earned a master’s degree in civil engineering. But for his biblical education, he completed a master’s degree in pastoral ministry and another in church development.

He was the president of the Youth Association, pastored a church in the Paris area for 10 years. Since 2022, he was elected the president of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of France which consist of 44 churches. He is also a board member of an Evangelical Church Organization of France (Reseau Fraternel Evangelique Français) that oversees about 700 churches. Together, him and his wife have 5 children and live in Paris.

Rev. Xeng Yang

Rev. Swm Xeng Yang currently serves as the Mission Director of the Hmong District.  He has been married to his wife, Dayouna for 21 years. They have four children: Faith, Caleb, Christian, and Evangeline. 

His favorite bible passages are Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." And 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.  Soli deo Gloria. 

Dr. John Stumb0

"Dr. John Stumbo is serving in his final year as president of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. He and Joanna, his bride of 42 years, have three grown children and five grandchildren. The Stumbos' appreciation for the C&MA has only grown through their four decades of

service. The Stumbos have enjoyed making Ohio their home as the National Office has relocated to the Columbus region. John has just finished writing his fifth book, Once upon a Time I was Young, which will be distributed to the youth attending LIFE 2025."

Pastor John Tongpao

Reverend John Tongpao has been married 24 years to Mai Moua and have 5 children: Latisha, Mikahla, Harmony, Grace, Melody. He has served over 10 years as Hmong Pastor at an Australian C&MA church called Southside International Church. He graduated with a Bachelor of Theology (Alliance College) and a Master of Leadership (Alliance College). His greatest joy in life is to see people come to know Christ and grow in Christ. Right now, he is building my Pokémon Go collection.

Pastor Toulee Thao

Pastor Tou Lee Thao is married to Tang Thao and they havebeen serving as Envision Bangkok Site Leaders for the past 14 years.  They have three wonderful children; Abraham, Selah, and Winston.  Pastor Tou Lee is a graduate of Crown College and is passionate about developing missional leaders to impact the world for Jesus. 

Dr. Lantzia Thao

Dr. Lantzia C. Thao (Kx. Tswv Txos Thoj) was born in Laos and lived in Thailand for four years before coming to Morganton, NC toward the end of 1979 where he went and graduated from Freedom High School.  He then continued his educations and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a BA in Bible & Theology with a concentration in Counseling in 1987, Denver Seminary with a Master Of Divinity in 1990, and Bethel Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry in 2000. 

He met and married his lovely and beautiful wife, Omee Chang, in 1989.  The Thaos have two handsome boys, Timothy and Daniel, and two beautiful daughters, Priscilla and Christina plus a brand new daughter-in-law, Angely Vang.  All of their children and the daughter-in-law were TFC graduates or attendee.  After Denver Seminary, the Thao went to pastor three of our Hmong churches including St. Paul Hmong Alliance Church, Leola Hmong Alliance Church, and Twin Cities Hmong Alliance Church.  He served as the Director of Church Ministries at the Hmong District for twelve years.  Dr. Thao is the current Superintendent of the Hmong District in his first year term.
